_Search is on for new metaphor for innovation_
**Cupertino** – It seems the bell has tolled for the concept of ‘the wheel’ as a benchmark for human ingenuity. Instead, the search is on for a new metaphor to describe the crazy ideas inventors can come up with. Experts in the field of inventionism have already decided that the circular object no longer can maintain a stable position as forward thinking rolemodel. “I mean, it wasn't even invented for vehicles. The ancient Mesopotamians used them for creating pottery.” says history buff Robert Ignacious Peter van Winkle.
And so, a challenge has been issued to the scientific world: come up with something inventive, darn it. A prompt has been created. Van Winkle: ”We feel it's probably good to be forward thinking and futureproof this idea. So that when something better comes along, people should be able to say ‘This is the best thing since X.’ X being the amazing invention we're looking for, of course.”
